Chapter 10: Realistic Fiction




Realistic fiction are stories that are believable, everything within in the story is consistent with the real world and the characters, settings, and events are real. Realistic fiction can affect readers in many ways. The reader can relate to the characters in the story or know someone who relates to the character. Realistic fiction can be used to discuss real life issues they might be facing in their everyday life. Furthermore, readers can learn from the mistakes and choices displayed by the characters in the book. Realistic fiction stories can help young adult readers solve their own issues when making their own decisions.
